DAY 01 LIMA (RECEPTION)

 Lima is the capital and largest city of Peru, serving as the country's political, cultural, and commercial heart. Known as the "City of Kings," it was founded by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro in 1535. Today, it is a massive coastal metropolis home to approximately 10 million people, making it one of the largest cities in South America

DAY 02  

Lima / Puerto Maldonado

Transfer to Lima airport.
Flight Lima-Puerto Maldonado.
Reception at the airport and transfer to Maldonado Ecolodge, where you will be welcomed with a delicious cocktail or tropical juice. Board a motorboat for approximately 4 hours on the Tambopata River to reach Tambopata Lodge & Research Center (box lunch en route). Along the way, observe settler farms and various bird species. You may also spot families of capybaras, the world’s largest rodents. Upon arrival, reception and accommodation at the Lodge.
After a short rest, take a night walk in the forest to observe and listen to insects, bats, frogs, and possibly some nocturnal mammals. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. The various sounds of the jungle will accompany your first night in the Amazon.

Tambopata National Park

DAY 03   Tambopata

Early wake-up call (4:30 a.m.) for a light coffee or tea before setting off on a 40-minute boat ride upriver to the Chuncho Macaw Clay Lick in Bahuaja-Sonene National Park. Enjoy breathtaking natural scenery and observe wildlife along the Tambopata River. Upon arrival, weather permitting, witness one of the most spectacular wildlife displays: hundreds of parrots and macaws of various species descending to feed on the clay—a truly unforgettable experience!
Light snack provided. Mid-morning return to the Lodge for breakfast and free time (approx. 2 hours). Between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m., take a short trip to a nearby beach for a refreshing swim and snacks. If the river level allows, visit the Gato Waterfall.
Optionally, upon prior request to the guide, try fishing for some of the 250+ fish species in the area or go kayaking or canoeing on the river. After lunch, take an ethnobotanical walk through jungle trails, learning about local medicinal plants and trees while observing the incredible Amazon ecosystem. Discover walking palms, ancient lupuna trees, snakes, and more. At nightfall, take a boat ride in search of caimans. Dinner.

Tambopata Puerto Maldonado

  

Day 04 Tambopata / Puerto Maldonado

After breakfast, return by boat along the Tambopata River to Maldonado Ecolodge, where you will leave your luggage, have lunch, and take a brief rest. Then, transfer again by boat for 30 minutes to Lake Sandoval. Walk 3 km through the jungle to the lake’s shore, where you will board a rowing canoe to explore its beauty and observe its wildlife, including kingfishers, herons, monkeys, and exotic birds.
With some luck, spot the family of giant river otters that inhabit the lake. Enjoy the opportunity to swim safely in its waters. Witness the transition from day to night as the sounds of diurnal birds and insects give way to the nocturnal symphony. Return to the Madre de Dios River and Puerto Maldonado.
After dinner, you may rest or explore the city on foot or by bicycle. Enjoy the lively nightlife of this welcoming town.

Day 05

Farewell breakfast and free morning until transfer to the airport.

 PM: City tour. Visit the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and its Religious Art Museum, the Church of Santo Domingo or Koricancha. The tour continues to four archaeological sites near Cusco: the fortresses of Sacsayhuamán and Puca Pucara, the temple and amphitheater of Kenko, and the Tambomachay sanctuary.

 Cusco (also spelled Cuzco) is a historic city in southeastern Peru, famously known as the former capital of the Inca Empire. Situated high in the Andes at an elevation of approximately 3,400 meters (11,150 feet), it serves as the primary gateway for travelers visiting Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. The city is a Unesco World Heritage site recognized for its unique blend of ancient Incan stonework and Spanish colonial architecture.

Urubamba Sacred Valley

  

Day 06

 


Excursion to Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the town of Pisac and its authentic and traditional market, where you will find a variety of goods. The tour continues through the valley to Ollantaytambo, the Incas’ favorite residence and the only inhabited town dating back to Inca times. Explore the remarkable ruins of Ollantaytambo Fortress.

Day 07 

 

Transfer to the Ollanta Station to take the train to Aguas Calientes in the Machu Picchu area.
Bus ride up to the Sanctuary for a 2:30-hour guided tour.
Machu Picchu is considered both a masterpiece of architecture and engineering. Its unique architectural and scenic features, along with the aura of mystery surrounding it in much of the literature written about the site, have made it one of the most popular tourist destinations on the planet. Machu Picchu has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage List since 1983 as part of a cultural and ecological complex known as the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. On July 7, 2007, Machu Picchu was declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World.   Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site located on a mountain ridge in southern Peru at 2,430 meters (7,970 ft) altitude. Known as the "Lost City of the Incas," it is a renowned archaeological marvel featuring mortar-free, dry-stone construction.  


Bus ride down to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel.

Plan Your Escape

Moray - Maras - Chinchero

Day 08  

   This incredible day start with a early pick up at your hotel. Head towards the small beatiful town of Chinchero. The journey takes just over an hour and it a beatiful ride through the mountain providing the mos spectacular view.

Upon arrival we will attend a demonstration of the handwovwn textilees mad by the local women. Thy are experts in this art, which has been a tradition for hundreds of years, using entirely natural dyes. 

Next, we will continue our journey to Maras Salt MInes, located just another 3km away. The site has beein producing salt since ancient times, and over 3,000 salt ponts are fille daily with underground water, You will have a surreal landscape to the take the ost amazin photos with the Salt Mines.

Next stop Moray, You marvel at the fomation of Moray,which compares to an amphiteater. It is an Inca agricultural laboratory. YOur guide will explain the history, and will have time to explore and take same amazing photes. 

We will head to Misminay, a charming place where an unparalleled gastronomic epererience awaits you. Enjoy exqusite traditional dish meticulousy prepare by the loca people, who put their very heart into ever color flavors. Return to Cusco and your hotel.

7 Colores Mountain tour

Day 09  

Upon arrival in Cusipata, you’ll enjoy a buffet breakfast to recharge your batteries. Then, continue your journey to the Phulawasipata checkpoint (a 1-hour drive). The trek begins here, so you’ll have time to prepare for your next hike.  The hike is 6 kilometers long, with an easy initial stretch, while the final section is considered challenging. Horses can be rented from the start of the hike, which is the best option if you’re not in good physical condition.

Throughout the entire trip, and from the beginning of your adventure, a tour guide will accompany you. They will not only provide you with historical information about the area, but will also ensure your safety.

The entire route to the mountain is filled with landscapes. You’ll see mountains of various shades, green fields, many animals, and, if you’re lucky, snow-capped peaks. Remember that Rainbow Mountain is very close to the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, which will add even more scenic value to your adventure.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, you’ll see its seven colors in all their splendor. There are many angles from which to get the perfect photo. You’ll also have free time to explore the area and use the basic amenities (restrooms and food stalls).

The return journey will be the same, whether you choose to descend by foot or on horseback. The reunion with the entire group will take place at the drop-off point of the tour bus.

Before returning to Cusco, there will be a brief stop in the town of Cusipata for lunch. Arrival in the city is scheduled for around 6:00 p.m., at a central location or at your hotel door.
