Salvador Bahia

Where the past meets the present by the sea. Experience the historic charm and spectacular beauty of Brazil’s first capital.

Salvador is recognized for being the center of Afro-Brazilian culture and this aspect is reflected in every corner of the city, in the cuisine and rhythms of this unique place, which was the first Brazilian capital. Main city and capital of the state of Bahia, in Salvador you will find secular traces in the memory of a country in formation and a pulsating present that unites African heritage and modernity, in the blackest city outside the African continent.

Salvador, the capital of Brazil’s northeastern state of Bahia, is known for its Portuguese colonial architecture, Afro-Brazilian culture and a tropical coastline. The Pelourinho neighborhood is its historic heart, with cobblestone alleys opening onto large squares, colorful buildings and baroque churches such as São Francisco, featuring gilt woodwork

Natal

Natal is the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, on Brazil's northeastern tip. It's known for its extensive coastal sand dunes and star-shaped Forte dos Reis Magos, a 16th-century Portuguese fortress at the mouth of the Potengi River. North across the river, Genipabu is an area of towering dunes with a freshwater lagoon. The Via Costeira highway links a 15km stretch of beaches south of the fort.

Natal, city and port, capital of Rio Grande do Norte estado (state), northeastern Brazil. It is situated near the mouth of the Potengi River on the Atlantic coast.

Founded by the Portuguese in 1597 near the site of a fort (Três Reis Magos [“The Three Magi”]), Natal was given town status in 1611; its cathedral dates to 1694.

Natal is the state’s principal commercial centre. Tourism is its major economic activity; the city has extensive beaches and sand dunes and a variety of hotels. Silk and cotton textiles as well as foodstuffs are produced in Natal, and it is a major exporter of fish. Natal is the seat of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1958). It is also home to the Camâra Cascudo Museum and several football (soccer) stadiums, including the sizable João Machado, or Machadão, Stadium. The Marine Research Institute and the Barreira do Inferno rocket base are located in the vicinity. Railroads and highways extend from Natal to the interior and to coastal urban centres

Amazonas

Amazonas is an enormous state in northwestern Brazil, covered almost entirely by the Amazon rainforest. The capital, Manaus, is a river port with landmarks dating to the late-19th-century rubber boom, including the Amazon Theater, a grand opera house. The city marks the "Meeting of Waters," where the blackwater Rio Negro and the Solimões River merge into the Amazon River.

There's no real best time to visit the Amazon – the rainforest really is a year round destination. Its sheer size means it covers many countries, so if you know you want to go somewhere with other attractions it will help you narrow down the best month to go.

The Amazon rainforest is the world’s largest intact forest. It is home to more than 24 million people in Brazil alone, including hundreds of thousands of Indigenous Peoples belonging to 180 different groups.

Majestic Iguazu Falls

National Park do Iguaçu, one of the biggest vegetation reservation in Brazil. Here, passengers will take a bus that will take them on a tour inside the park and then to the beginning of the footbridges placed over the cliffs of the Iguazu River. The length of these footbridges extends to almost a kilometer. During the walk it is possible to get a panoramic view of the Isla San Martín and of the most majestic waterfalls: the Bossetti, the San Martín and the Three Musketeers. Towards the end of the walk is the view point, from which you can appreciate a unique view of the Devil’s Throat, which, at this point, is only about 150 meters away. This wonderful view is even more enhanced by the constant formation of rainbows. The itinerary ends next to the Salto Floriano waterfall where there is a small store and there is access to the panoramic elevator, which visitors can take if they wish to. At the end of the walk there is a long stairway which leads to the place from which visitors get their transfer back to the hotel. The daily tours are preferably done in the mornings due to the position of the sun over the waterfalls.

Experience Brazil's Vibrant Diversity

Rio: City of Joy

Rio de Janeiro; a peppery, playful ecosystem all of its own set against white beaches and verdant mountains. A sensual city where everything moves to the samba beat, and beauty, culture, sport, and of course, Carnival, meet in chaotic color.

Although riven by inequality, Rio has great style. Its international renown is bolstered by a series of symbols that rank as some of the greatest landmarks in the world: the Corcovado mountain supporting the great statue of Christ the Redeemer; the rounded incline of the Sugar Loaf mountain, standing at the entrance to the bay; and the famous sweeps of Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, probably the most notable lengths of sand on the planet. It’s a setting enhanced annually by the frenetic sensuality of Carnaval, an explosive celebration that – for many people – sums up Rio and its citizens, the cariocas. The major downside in a city given over to conspicuous consumption is the rapacious development that has engulfed Rio. As the rural poor, escaping drought and poverty in other regions of Brazil, swell Rio’s population, the city has been squeezed like a toothpaste tube between mountains and sea, pushing its human contents ever further out along the coast. Over the decades, much of the city’s rich architectural heritage has been whittled away, along with the destruction of much of its natural environment.

Amazon Rainforest

The Amazon is a vast tropical rain forest – the largest on the planet – and a giant river system. It covers over half of Brazil and a large portion of South America. The tropical rain forest extends into Brazil’s neighboring countries (Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia), where the river itself begins life among thousands of different headwaters. In Brazil only the stretch between Manaus and Belém is actually known as the Rio Amazonas: above Manaus the river is called the Rio Solimões up to the border with Peru, where it once again becomes the Amazonas. It is by far the biggest river system in the world; eight of the world’s twenty longest rivers are in the Amazon basin, along with a fifth of the planet’s fresh water.

We have cruses and hotel for a complete travel package to the Amazon River. The wildlife is Amazones is execional and a natural beauty that can only be found in this part of the world.
