Arenal Combo Tour:
Class 2-3 White Water Rafting Balsa River and Canopy Ziplining
Get a double dose of adrenaline in La Fortuna with whitewater rafting and ziplining in Costa Rica! Travel to Arenal's Balsa River and challenge yourself with class 2-3 rapids as you whitewater raft down the Balsa River. The Rio Balsa is a fun Costa Rica rafting trip with rapids called “Morning Coffee” & “Rock around the Croc!” You are sure to have an unforgettable Costa Rica rafting adventure! Play around in tranquil river pools, take in the breathtaking scenery, and ride the waves of the Balsa River for about two hours along 10 kilometers of lush Costa Rican rainforest.
Then, start the second leg of your day with your Arenal ziplining tour. This canopy zipline adventure will take you on a total of 13 exciting cables throughout this well-thought-out adventure park. The first cable is only 25 meters long, intended to help you feel comfortable with your gear and get you ready to enjoy the rest of the cables of this adventure sport. The thrill of the zip increases from cable to cable until you arrive to cable number 12. This is the longest cable and is an exciting 430 meters long -- that's over 1,200 feet long!
Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to do a unique and exciting Tarzan Swing! You'll love this part of the tour, almost as much as you'll love the 360 degree panoramic view of the rainforest that you'll have as you fly above the lush canopy at the base of the Arenal Volcano. You’ll finish off this fun-filled day with a delicious traditional lunch at a charming rural location. Two of the best adventure activities in the Arenal, La Fortuna area.
You'll feel like you're walking on water as you cross Lake Arenal from one side to the next! If you're a first-timer, no worries! This activity is perfect for all adventure enthusiasts!
Venture to Costa Rica's largest lake and hop onboard on our private boat. The mountains that surround the lake are different shades of green, as some are in the foreground while the others fade into the distance. At first, the Arenal Volcano seems like it is hidden behind mountains, but if you get to a certain part in the lake you’ve reached the sweet spot – a spot where you can see the detailed textures of its rock formation and be passing in front of it can make you feel tiny.
The ride takes about 45 minutes and is accompanied by the sounds of rainforest birds and the La Fortuna Waterfall River. It is possible, with a bit of luck, to spot toucans, monkeys, peccaries, coatis, and more.
Once you arrive at the entrance of the 75 meter (246 ft) tall La Fortuna Waterfall, the horses are left behind so you can enjoy the great views from the lookout. After a short rest and some water, you will take a 20 minute walk down to the La Fortuna River — passing a suspension bridge of 20 meters (66 ft) — until you reach the bottom of the canyon. When you arrive, you can relax and swim in the cool waters of the La Fortuna River for about 30 minutes.
After enjoying the refreshing waters, the walk back to the top starts; you will enjoy a snack when you return to the lookout.
Pick up at your hotel private transfer from Arenal Volcano to Tamarindo Beach private with a stop.

Celeste River - Tenorio Hike
Includes transfers, guide, lunch & entrance
The Rio Celeste Hike is in the Tenorio Volcano National Park. “Catarata Rio Celeste” is one of the seven natural wonders of Costa Rica. On the way to the national park, you may stop to see toucans, monkeys, sloths, or the beautiful view of the Tenorio & Miravalles Volcanos. The guide will also point out the rural life and typical activities in the area like agriculture and open cattle pastures. Once inside the national park, you start hiking. You will begin by walking through a secondary forest which is a good place to spot insects and different birds. On the second half of the hike, you will enjoy a primary forest where it is possible to uncover the footprints of the tapir and other animals. The trail is in a good condition but can be a little muddy in the rainy season. The iconic waterfall is the first main stop along the hike. This place is amazing, and you can see the waterfall up close. Later, you will be able to view the three different craters of the Tenorio Volcano. Next, you’ll find the “Blue Lagoon” a great place for photos. Then, you will come across the “borbollones”, this is where the volcanic sulfur gases escape the earth’s surface. And lastly, before heading back, you will witness “Teñideros”, where two rivers join and the magic-like chemical reaction of transparent water instantly turns blue. This unique natural phenomenon in Costa Rica shouldn’t be missed. Difficulty level: Easy-medium. Distance (hike): 5 km. Schedule: 8:00 hrs. Duration: 6.5 hrs. approx.
What´s included? Bilingual guide, transportation, entrance, refreshments, and typical Costa Rican lunch.
